Overview
Thermal control changes how a vessel is designed: the jacket type sets heat transfer rate and pressure capability, the insulation sets losses, and the internals set how evenly the product sees the temperature. Vixtec sizes the jacket to your heating or cooling medium, whether steam, hot water, chilled water or glycol, and integrates it with agitation so the product temperature is uniform throughout the batch.
Options include dimple jackets for efficient heat transfer at moderate pressure, half pipe coils for higher jacket pressures and defined flow paths, and nozzle arrangements for connection to an external heat exchanger loop.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a dimple jacket and a half pipe coil?
A dimple jacket is a thin outer shell spot welded to the vessel wall, giving a large heat transfer area at moderate jacket pressure. A half pipe coil is a pipe split lengthwise and welded in a spiral around the shell, which handles higher jacket pressures and gives a defined flow path. Vixtec recommends the type based on your heating medium and pressure.
Can an existing vessel design be supplied with a jacket?
Yes. Most Vixtec vessel types, including mixing tanks, reactors and storage vessels, can be supplied with a dimple jacket or half pipe coil designed into the unit.
Are the jackets pressure tested?
Yes. Both the product side and the jacket are hydrostatically tested, with test reports included in the documentation package.
Which standards do Vixtec vessels comply with?
Vessels are designed and fabricated to ASME standards and other globally recognised codes. Material lab testing is carried out in NABL approved labs, and every order ships with audit ready documentation for regulated industries.
Where is Vixtec Industries located and which regions do you serve?
